He started P.J.'s Lawn Service for friends and neighbors in 1978, and later changed the name to First State Landscaping since his services had grown far beyond lawns. By 1987, P.J. incorporated and launched First State Inc. In the mid 90's, he created a construction division targeting residential renovation and construction projects.
